We have received many emails from foreign tourists who cannot use the online payment system or post offices because they do not have an Italian Tax ID (Codice Fiscale). This short guide explains how to get your fishing license easily without it.
Please note: Our association provides this support purely out of a voluntary sense of service for international tourists, as the public regional institutions do not provide official assistance for these bureaucratic issues.
The Solution: Bank Transfer
The easiest way for foreign tourists to buy a license is via bank transfer (bonifico bancario).
- No Tax ID Needed: The bank transfer method does not require an Italian Codice Fiscale.
- Where to pay: You can pay directly from your home bank account before your trip.
Bank Account Details (IBAN)
To purchase your license, send the payment to the official regional account:
- IBAN:
IT41G0760102800000026730507
Exact Payment Reference (Causale)
When completing the bank transfer, you must copy and paste the text below into the payment description/memo field.
Replace the bracketed info with your personal details (for your place of birth and residence, just write your country):
TASSA PER L’ESERCIZIO DELLA PESCA – DAL [start date] – ESEGUITO DA [First Name & Surname] NATO A [Country of birth] IL [Date of birth] RESIDENTE A [Your Country]
⚠️ Important note about the start date:
The date you write after “DAL” is the exact day you want your license to become valid.
For example, if you send the bank transfer from your country on August 1st, but you plan to start fishing in Italy on October 1st, you must write 01/10/2026. Your 15-day license starts strictly from that day.
Fill-out Example:
If your name is John Doe, born in the United Kingdom on 15/04/1985, living in the UK, and starting to fish on October 1st, 2026, your text must look exactly like this:
TASSA PER L’ESERCIZIO DELLA PESCA – DAL 01/10/2026 – ESEGUITO DA JOHN DOE NATO A UNITED KINGDOM IL 15/04/1985 RESIDENTE A UNITED KINGDOM
License Types & Rules

What to bring with you
When you go fishing, you must always carry two things as proof of payment for local inspectors:
